YPA evidence standard

YPA Platform Verification Methodology

YPA records platform facts with a source, an evidence state and a last-checked date. This page explains how records are created, limited, challenged and corrected.

What YPA verifies

  • Official website and observed operational status
  • Terms, privacy, support and mobile routes
  • Pricing model and publicly described viewer payment routes
  • Public KYC or age-verification information
  • Ownership and commercial relationship disclosure state

What YPA does not claim

A profile does not guarantee platform conduct, user outcomes, legal compliance, safety or future availability. A status describes checked evidence within a stated scope and date. It is not an endorsement.

Source hierarchy

  1. Official platform pages, legal documents and official help material
  2. Government or regulator records when relevant
  3. Attributed secondary material when a primary source is unavailable
  4. An unresolved state when the evidence is insufficient, inaccessible, disputed or conflicting

AI output, generated summaries and search-result snippets are discovery aids, not evidence sources.

Evidence status taxonomy

VERIFIED
A direct official source or equivalent authoritative evidence supports the field within the documented scope.
REPORTED
An attributed source reports the field, but independent or primary confirmation is unavailable.
DOCUMENTED BLOCKED
The approved evidence route was attempted, but access or completion was blocked. This is not a negative finding.
VERIFIED NEGATIVE FOR CHECKED OFFICIAL AND STORE SURFACES AS OF YYYY-MM-DD
No official listing was found on the named checked surfaces, aliases, publisher identity and region. The conclusion does not extend beyond that scope.
NOT PUBLICLY DISCLOSED AS OF YYYY-MM-DD
The documented public route was checked and no public statement was found. This does not prove the fact is absent in reality.
DISPUTED
Material sources or parties conflict and the disagreement is recorded pending resolution.
UNKNOWN
The available evidence cannot support a more specific state.

Dates, scope and review

Every changeable field carries its own check date and source scope. A page review date does not replace field-level dates. Records are scheduled for review 90 days after the latest profile check unless a correction, source failure or material change requires earlier review.

Corrections and disputes

A correction request should identify the affected YPA URL, the exact field or sentence, the proposed correction, a primary source and an effective date when known. YPA evaluates the evidence before changing the published record and does not silently erase material history.

Use Contact YPA and read the Corrections Policy.

Ownership and affiliate disclosure

Every profile must expose ownership and commercial relationship information at page level. The relationship may be recorded as present, absent or unknown according to the evidence register. Commercial relationships do not change evidence status, buy verification or create a hidden ranking boost.

Limits of verification

Public documents can be incomplete or change after a check. This methodology does not use account creation, purchase testing or payment entry as evidence. A public-source review cannot establish every operational practice.

Change history

A material field change should retain the previous value, new value, effective or observed date, source and editorial note. A content change after QA requires a new candidate hash and a new review.
